Rob Hynek

Program Director

Hynek has 10+ years in the insurance industry with expertise in underwriting, sales, and agency management. Hynek most recently came from Columbia Insurance Group managing agencies in Iowa & Nebraska handling a territory of over $25M in direct written premium. His responsibilities included building strong agency relationships, field underwriting, and maintaining a profitable loss ratio. Hynek developed the agency distribution exponentially by increasing relationships over 80% in 2 years.

Prior to that Hynek spent some time at FirstComp Insurance in Agency Operations and Underwriting. He was accountable for processing agency appointments and developing a process for compliance and quality assurance. Hynek then moved into Underwriting for the state of Nebraska, which he built up to $12M in direct written premium and managed 300 agency relationships for new business, renewal retention, and profitability of workers compensation. He was also pivotal in rolling out and implementing new products, such as the Markel Businessowners Policy (BOP) in 2013.

Rob Hynek attended Nebraska Wesleyan University earning a Bachelor in Science in Business Administration with a minor in Sociology. Hynek has been a supporter and involved in the Independent Insurance Agents of Nebraska over the past 8 years as well.
